PRESS RELEASE

On 11/29/2023 officers responded to the 100 block of Cherry Street, in

reference to a disturbance and assault. As a result of this incident, Jakeim Donte

Smullen was arrested for attempted murder, and 1 st and 2 nd degree assault.

Smullen was transported to the Pocomoke City Police Department for processing.

Smullen later had an initial appearance hearing with a District Court

Commissioner. At the conclusion of the hearing, Smullen was held on no bond.

Smullen was later transported to the Worcester County Jail.

ALL SUBJECTS ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY BY COURT OF LAW.
