PRESS RELEASE
On 11/26/23 as part of an ongoing investigation involving multiple thefts
from vehicles, Alexis Morgan McGonigle was arrested for Rogue and Vagabond,
and theft valuing $1,500 - $25,000. McGonigle was transported to the Pocomoke
City Police Department for processing. While in police custody, McGonigle was
also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and charged accordingly. It
should be noted that McGonigle did not act alone, and our investigation is
ongoing with as many as 3 additional identified suspects potentially involved in
these incidents. McGonigle was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and
held on a total of $5,000 bond and currently had an active out of state warrant.
McGonigle was later transported to the Worcester County Jail.
I ask our community to report any suspicious activity and keep your vehicle
doors locked. These types of criminals are opportunists and will take advantage
of any given situation with no remorse.
